Historic renovations always present architects and contractors with a challenge and opportunity to bring early 20th century buildings back to life with the comforts of modern living. The Rockport Apartments in Lakewood, Ohio was one such project after a fire left the original building uninhabitable. Sojourn Architects and our construction partner firm,

J. Kapela Design & Construction, rebuilt 30 units within the building for a local developer. Residents in the studio and 1- and 2-bedroom suites all have modern appliances, bathrooms and central AC.
